SIDPLAY FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
------------------------------------
===============================================================================
Q: I have a 386 CPU and a Soundblaster Pro. SIDPLAY seems to work fine,
but the music pauses every average second !
A: You have to lower the sample mixing frequency using the /f option,
because your CPU is too slow to process enough samples the right time.
===============================================================================
Q: I really like SIDPLAY ! Where can I register it or where can I get the
latest version ?
A: SIDPLAY was programmed just for fun, therefore you won't have to expect
too many upgrades. But as long as I receive bug reports from you, or
enough postcards motivating me, I will continue working on it in my
sparetime.
===============================================================================
Q: I have a SB 16 ASP using DMA 5/IRQ 5, but SIDPLAY uses DMA 1/IRQ 5 !
A: SIDPLAY doesn't support 16-bit samples right now. It uses the SB 16 ASP
in Soundblaster compatible mode.
